Search My Blog

i kno its been a while but i havent forgotten about my readers :) the fB group slowly, but surely growing :) 127 members now!lol but umm yea...lots to talk about...

ok so alot of things have been on my mind as far as blogging goes...for starters,it was brought up tht i should blog about homosexual men and women and how they carry/present themselves in public. Working in the mall last week, I noticed a few things that caught me off guard just a tad and I started to notice that many of the male mall-walkers who carried themselves in a feminine way were overly flamboyant…as if they wanted to be noticed and talked about for whatever reason. I do have a very open mind…but only because I’ve met and become friends with so many different kinds of people. However, there is as “too much.” A lot of times, younger black males who are homosexual will flaunt their sexuality by acting how they think a black woman would act: loud, gossipy, rude, speaking with improper grammar, etc. Mall security will kick people out for being loud, rude, or disturbing/hindering others from having an enjoyable Regency Mall experience. So all of these stories you hear "mmhmm chile,we got kicked out cuz we gay!das a damn mess!" uhh...no.you got kicked out for showin out.male or female, gay or straight, behaving urself in public is a common courtesy.ive talked to someone who thought they were kicked out of the mall for "being gay"...and after i explained to him what it looked like from my perspective,he understood but pointed out to me tht the only reason he's so flamboyant about his sexuality is because he wants ppl to know tht hes gay and damn proud of it. like in duval county especially, "gay" + "black" + "male" normally equals torture until death...in some areas of jax homosexuality is more accepted than in other areas but yea...like in america, people are not forced to hide their sexuality but society damn sure doesnt encourage some ppl to feel safe enough to express themselves if its not the "norm". so yea...anywayyy...he told me tht he likes to express his sexuality so boldly becuz he wants ppl to kno "hey,im gay,im happy!im here, look at me,love it or get over it!" and i completely understand tht.its the ones with tht type of mindset who make history and change it...BUT everybody cant change history. and evn if that were possible,do it in a way u would love to own 10yrs later.dont be tht person that gets to the top but only hears about how terrible they behaved before they got there.if u want to be a model spokesperson or move-maker for a particular group of others who may not be as confident or open about themselves to speak up,do it in a way tht others wold be proud to be represented by.if youre prancing thru the mall with ur frends in heels, neon accessories, talking extremely loud about other ppl and their business,do you HONESTLY think some young gay male, waiting to feel comfortable and confident in his skin would be like "damn :) i cant wait until im strong enough to be in public about my sexual preference like those guys!im glad theyre setting THT example for me to follow and THT stereotype for me to be judged by! C:" like seriously, there is a such thing as getting TOO much attention.male or female,no one wants to see ur bulges and "secret parts" while theyre shoppin with granny,ya dig?...
