i had 20 dollars left in my account so...i donated some money to help haiti out or watever but i was jus thinkin...y does it take a disaster for us to be willing to give to one of the poorest nations on the planet.all this time before the earthquake, haiti wasnt over populated with wealthy families and bomb healthcare.y did it take a tragic situation for us to be willing to give?ill be honest,i was a little hesitant to give my 20 bucks to help someone else bcuz i was gonna use tht 20 to get a extra stupid fat tattoo n my back on 20dollar tuesdays at ichibans...but i put my desires aside to help with someones needs u kno?i was talkin to my bffl, bama today and he was tellin me how good hes doin jus becuz of the support tht im giving him.in his situation,i wouldve been super low u kno.but i dont think ppl realize how something tht may seem small to u could mean the world to someone else.i had ppl askin me y i was givin my last lil bit to ppl i dont know and i couldnt come up with an answer other than "y not?"i have a home thts relatively bug/germ free,i have a dentist and a doctor less than a mile away tht only charges me 12 dollars for anything i need taken care of,i have bottled water in the next room, hell,i have rooms period.just because i dont know them doesnt mean its naive or foolish of me to lend wat i can to someone who needs it more.i have wat i need and a tattoo can wait.plus i kno if i was in tht situation,i would want someone to try to help me out if they could.so if u have even a dollar, maybe even a quarter, try to help out.even if its canned food,rice,first-aid supplies, anything that u think would help,go ahead and help out.:)
i feel you.
ReplyDeletealthough i just got laid off due to new owners taking over my workplace, i went ahead and sent half of my paycheck ($300) to the cause. i honestly wish i could have sent more but hey, every little bit helps.
