Yesterday I was "youtubing" from one video to the next....just clicking around and whatnot and came across a popular radio/TV personality who discussed how he refused to indulge in supporting slave-themed movies because they are extremely fictional and watered-down. Basically that these particular films make light of history. Naturally I wondered if people can even handle the truth. Of course there will be claims of things being too graphic or whatever but what's on TV? Is "graphic" only acceptable if it's expressing sexuality and profane language?Or horror related blood and gore? An accurate depiction of the past would definitely be to much mainly because all those other things are not real and never have been. It's all based on an individuals fantasy and imagination; it's not "TRUE".
Just kinda makes you think, Why hasn't someone come out with some real shit. Where is the blood, the whips, the adultery, profanity, dehumanization, animalistic disciplinary measures, the thirsty inhuman craving for dominating another group of people? What about the holidays based on a religion that was forced and beaten upon our generations past? And how come every one is free to believe in whomever they please but some of our laws, restrictions, and expectations are based on the teachings of the Holy Bible...which technically is just a book of which we put on a pedestal because the mystery and coincidental relevant stories have somehow applied to our lives at one point or another. I dunno...my intentions are not to offend any one's lifestyle or religion but it's very similar to fortune telling or following one's horoscope: a general statement or scenario that could be applied to just about anything and anyone at any time. I do understand that the Bible's purpose is for a sort of guidance template for an individual to live by I guess but anyway...
Where is the person who can expose the raw truth to everyone and not be ashamed or fear the judgment that will inevitably come from a massive audience filled with disgust and disagreement. Have we been told we have freedom of speech to help fight the urge of wanting to use this freedom to its full potential? Have we been told a lie so beautiful and practical that it almost seems blasphemous to believe any other version of the story that may be so gruesome, it may awaken a revolution beyond history's measure?
