Alrighty..where to begin?

I don't normally use those smileys but my friend uses them and her face literally looks like that when she smiles and that's what makes it so funny but you wouldn't know that unless you know her so...
Orphias is on this new health junkie shit.She runs everyday for her lunch break. WE run everyday for our lunch break. When Ms. O is on a new weight loss craze, you better be prepared to either be the bitch in the office by refusing to participate or...you can come in everyday and burn off your beloved egg rolls. I've tried both options listed above and I can confirm, burning off the egg rolls is the way to go.
She started this crazy "20 pounds in 30 days" thing about a month ago...yes, I'm aware the 30 days has expired but don't you dare try and tell her that...weekends, holidays, and vacation time doesn't count I guess? I don't know yet, haven't quite figured it out but I'll let you know when I solve this conundrum. So I agreed to walk on the first day we tried this thing and I considered jumping into moving traffic before I continued what I was told would be a "brisk walk". Have you ever been in the mall and watched the old ladies circle the whole mall in about 5 minutes? Well dammit, I admired them until I did double the distance in half the time in the heat. Not regular heat, Florida heat. The kind of heat that makes you say "Oh, hell nawl. I'm taking off today"...The type of heat that makes a swimming pool feel like a jacuzzi, and makes coffee feel like an ice cold cup of tea...And my salt-loving, chip munching behind tried sprinting in it.? Yes...so everyday after that I "forgot my clothes at home" but yesterday I felt so sick. Only because I realized I couldn't fit my favorite shirt anymore and I was tired of blaming the laundry and "shrinkage". I realized I had gone up a whole cup size in bras (which I'm actually pretty stoked about but for the sake of the topic, made me feel bloated). So I stopped lying about forgetting my clothes and dug them from the depths of my vehicle's trunk and ran yesterday. Wasn't so bad because I prepped myself mentally for it. I drank lots of water and made sure I ate a reasonable breakfast with little fat and lots of protein...and my lunch was fairly lean too. Plus I didn't snack much...not by choice, I just ran out of money and snacks at the same time. But I do feel more energized and less hungry than I did yesterday...I'm even considering running again today!!Can't get mad at the lady for tryna look out for my youth, I suppose, right?

ReplyDeleteoh, I bought some of those 100 calorie snack packs and they have been helping me curb my snacking tremendously (for a day lol) so yeah, maybe think about that for snacks. or just healthy snacks. :) carrots, apples, celery, blah blah blah lol but you can doooooooooooo it! i love you!!
